BLOOD DRIVE

Monday, June 14

2-7:00 p.m.

Wilkesboro United Methodist Church

Dear Wilkesboro Baptist Church Family:

What a blessing your participation in the “Hand in Hand” program has been for the students and staff of Wilkesboro Elementary School.  The things you did through “Hand in Hand” have made a great difference here.  A mere thank you does not seem adequate to express to you the sincere appreciation the students and staff wish to convey for all you have done.  You have tutored individual and small groups of students, provided individual and group snacks and in some cases snacks for entire classes, furnished school supplies for individual students and groups of students, made sight word cards to help children who are learning English, copied materials, and more.  The children who received individual or small group tutoring eagerly looked forward to you being here.  You played a big part in the academic progress they made.  We cannot begin to tell you how much all you have done has meant to both the students and the staff.

Additionally you have sent the staff messages of encouragement through cares and e-mail.  The following quote from one of the teachers sums up well our feelings about what you have done:  “Most of all they have kept us covered in prayer.  I am very grateful!”

We look forward to your continued participation in the “Hand in Hand” program again next year.  May God continue to bless you as we feel we have been blessed.

Sincerely, Mike Dancy, Principal

JOIN THE CHOIR FOR JULY

Our Adult Choir invites you to join them for the 11:00 services in the month of July.  We’ll use a patriotic mini-musical on July 4th and some great songs for each of the other Sundays that month.  To get ready, join us during rehearsals in the month of June—every Wednesday night from 7:00—8:00.

During July we won’t be rehearsing on Wednesdays but we’ll sing every Sunday morning.  We don’t wear robes that month, either!  This is a great way to make a short-term commitment to worship leadership.  Call Mike for more information or just show up Wednesdays in June.
